Xi鈥檃n - Rome-ing in Xi鈥檃n
Art and relics from the Roman Empire are juxtaposed with Chinese relics in the Emperor Qinshihuang Terra-Cotta Warriors and Horse Museum in Xi’an, Shaanxi Province.
Titled “A Splendid Time,” the Italian exhibition features 300 items including sculpture, bronze, pottery, utensils, coins, and jewelry from the 1st century BC to the mid third century. Exhibits come from three museums in Tuscany and cover religion, public life, families and other subjects.
The Italian and Chinese relics are from roughly the same period.
The Roman exhibition runs through November 29.
