Zhukovsky - Moscow Air Show offers glimpse of Russia鈥檚 fighter jets
The MAKS-2013 international aviation and space show, known as the Moscow Air Show, has blasted off in the city of Zhukovsky near the Russian capital.
The week-long exhibition showcases the products of more than 1,000 aerospace companies from 44 countries and regions and includes aerial demonstrations for industry experts and the public.
Russia showcases its fifth-generation fighter aircraft, the T-50 and Su-35S, and unveils the S-350E Vityaz, the newest mid-range air defense system.
The aviation show is a rare opportunity to see Russian aircraft and weapons systems prototypes as well as experimental systems that officials say cannot be shown abroad for commercial and defense security reasons.
