Decorating for winter holidays can bring lots of joy

Winter brings lots of holidays and festivals. After the recent celebration of Halloween, Thanksgiving is fast approaching late this month, followed by Christmas in December and then New Year’s Day.

People like to decorate their homes and apartments during these festivals, creating rooms with colorful lights and Christmas trees to bring joy to the people inside. It’s the best time of year to invite families and friends to spend the happy moments, and it’s a great time for people to show their imagination.

Here we introduce beautiful interior decoration for festivals like Christmas. If you want to light up your room and make it the best in the neighborhood for Christmas Eve, read on.

Offline shopping

As a leading enterprise of home furnishing, IKEA has its own products for seasonal festivals, which will satisfy both tradition lovers and enthusiasts of fashion.

Recently, IKEA launched its new winter products series and encouraged children to do the creative design. The activity allows children to learn to make decorative accessories along with food and snacks.

The products include accessories, candle holders, textile products to keep warm in the bedroom and living room, tableware, furniture, lights, festival gifts and Christmas trees. All the products can be used to make the apartment a warm place where you want to share time with your loved ones during the holidays.

MUJI, the famous Japanese brand of daily supplies, also launches a special Christmas series every year. Different from IKEA, it usually focuses more on small objects and gifts such as cups and stationery. It prefers to make products with natural materials such as wood and wool.

Online shopping

If you are tired of looking for the products in a huge shopping mall, try the Internet. There are numerous online shops selling all kinds of holiday items, from furniture to plants. In fact, it will probably take you much more time shopping online than shopping on the street, because you have so many options.

In China, most people do online shopping through taobao.com. It’s the dominant shopping platform established by Alibaba, and it provides pretty much any commodity you can think of. However, since there is no English version, you need to read Chinese or have a friend who can. If not, you can still try to input the keyword like “Christmas” to search for shops and products, and thousands of results will show up. You can pick your favorites through the pictures and price and talk to customer-service staff by clicking the little blue head. If the shop lists its products in English, it usually will have a service staff who can speak the language.
