Dental implants can help improve a person’s life

A beautiful, natural smile can light up a room. However, some people are afraid of flashing their pearly whites due to missing teeth.

As a fixed prosthesis ages, the need for implants increases. The high profit margin of implants has attracted many clinics to offer such service. However, many are unqualified and charge extremely high.

CAD Dental Center in Shanghai offers the world-leading Ankylos implant technique with a strong team of professional dental surgeons. They strive to make patients feel comfortable by offering friendly service with care and kindness. Professor Gu Zhangyu, a senior dental surgeon and a graduate supervisor at Fudan University, is invited by CAD Dental Center to offer service there.

Since its establishment in 2006, the center has treated around 1,000 foreign families, or nearly 4,000 people, in Shanghai. Its Singapore headquarters has received the “Asia’s best dental team” award in the Lion City.

For more than 20 years, the Ankylos implant system, which is introduced from Germany, has been helping dental practitioners around the world recreate natural smiles for patients.

The Ankylos system enables dentists to replace missing teeth with long-lasting restorations that look and function just like the real thing.

Ankylos implants are made of biologically neutral pure titanium, which adapts to a patient’s own bone structure, providing long-term replacements for missing teeth. The entire process takes between three months to a year.

“The Ankylos implant system allows the maximum maintenance of soft tissue and bone during the tooth implant. We have to first check the condition of a patient’s missing teeth. The most ideal condition is doing the implant surgery immediately after the teeth are lost. If the teeth have been missing for a long time, we have interior sinus lift, exterior sinus lift, splint, bone graft and bone squeeze to create the best environment for implants,” says Professor Gu, who has been using the Ankylos implant system for 15 years.

“We can tailor the implant surgery to each individual and are confident that we are first-class professional experts in this area. We also provide professional follow-up care,” Gu adds.

According to Gu, the Ankylos implant effectively avoids pressure on implants caused by alveolar bone re-absorption and improves gum health — ideal for those who want the best appearance.

The other advantages of Ankylos implants include: no inflammation of tissue surrounding the implants; no effect on healthy teeth; customized design without braces; high resemblance to natural teeth; and none of the pain associated with ordinary, ill-fitting dentures. Moreover, the technique also carries a minimal risk of infection, a low risk of bone loss, short therapy time and it’s affordable.

“A healthy lifestyle is the key to caring for your teeth. To improve the strength of teeth and gums, you should brush your teeth at least twice a day and avoid smoking.

“If you have implants or crowns, follow-up care is essential to check on their condition,” Gu concludes.
