LOCATED in Hall E2 of SIAL China, in a more than 500-square-meter area, the Heilongjiang Pavilion intends to confirm its position as a major food producing province in China.
Beidahuang Group, in the beautiful ice city of Harbin, has 113 state farms and 536 state-owned enterprises.
The group operates in 12 cities and 74 counties around Heilongjiang Province, with branches throughout China's major cities and economic zones.
It has established trade and economic cooperation relationships with more than 60 countries and regions in the world.
It farms the largest arable land area in China, with the highest mechanization level and the strongest comprehensive production capacity.
Now it has become an important national commodity grain base and a food grain strategic reserve base.
The average production of grains per staff worker has reached 35.4 tons a year. At present, the annual overall grain production capacity has reached 16.5 billion kilograms.
It is China's largest modern agricultural enterprise group, ranking 96th among "China's Top 500 Enterprises," and is the only agricultural enterprise listed.
The group achieved GDP of 45.43 billion yuan (US$6.6 billion) in 2009.
It has formed 10 pillar industries, including rice, flour, oil, dairy products, pork, pharmacy and potatoes.
Beidahuang Group has become China's largest green and organic food production base with annual production reaching 10 million tons.
Its core techniques for more than 20 products such as soybean isoflavone, vitamine E, colostrums and freeze-dried powder for injection make it a leader in China. These products sell well at home and abroad.
The group has nurtured a number of well-known brands and trademarks, such as "Beidahuang," "Wondersun," "Jiusan" and "Fengyuan."
The brand value of Beidahuang broke through the 10 billion yuan level in 2009, ranking it as 65th among China's 500 most valuable brands.
