It's heating up so hit the beach

THE arrival of summertime heralds the arrival of beach time. A time to think of sunshine, bikinis, soft sand, the sea and all the other wonderful things associated with a hot beach. And here are some of the hottest beach destinations in the world:

Seychelles

Situated in the Indian Ocean, the beaches on this island nation are renowned for their white sand and clear waters showing the reefs below. Every year more than 100,000 people come here to enjoy a vacation. Options are various: you can either walk on the delicate white sand or dive under the guidance of a professional instructor, observing the colorful coral reef.

If further recommendation is really necessary, the resort was the honeymoon destination for the recently married UK royal couple the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, William and Kate.

Rangiroa, Polynesia

Rangiroa is one of the largest atolls in the world. Just staying at this huge lagoon will broaden your mind. In fact, Rangiroa means "vast sky" in the local language. Diving and walking on the beach are most people's choices here.

Bali, Indonesia

The beach is very appealing here, although it isn't the only attraction. Aboriginal culture in the form of temples, wood and stone carvings give tourists a brief introduction to the original inhabitants' life and history. Every year more than 200 festivals are held on the island and if you attend one, you'll be able to enjoy typical aboriginal performances.

Bermuda Islands

These islands are home to a unique "pink" sand caused by the erosion of the coral reef. Simple walks along the beaches in South Shore Park and Horseshoe Bay are a good option, although many areas are only accessible to private members.

Langkawi, Malaysia

One of the meanings of "Langkawi" is, rather appropriately, "a place full of wishes." The island was once a haven for pirates but now provides sanctuary for people who want to escape from the hustle and bustle of city life. The beaches here are not crowded with tourists, but has white sand and clean sea water, with beautiful forests behind them.

Hawaii

Lanikai Beach is considered by many as an eternal paradise. As one of the most beautiful beaches in Hawaii, the sapphire sea and fronded palms are a common sight on postcards. With a wide range of coral reefs, the sea around the beach is tranquil and stable. There is barely a better place than here to enjoy a quiet vacation or dream honeymoon.
