"We provide the most pleasant and relaxing environment possible to our customers, helping them forget busy work and pressured life outside," says hotel General Manager Alvaro Rautenberg.
Rautenberg, who is German, has worked in China for nearly 12 years and previously worked in luxury hotels in Shenyang of Liaoning Province and Beijing.
He has a grand vision for his hotel.
"I hope we can hold classical music concerts beside the lake and ballet performances, as well as family barbecues and picnics," he tells Shanghai Daily.
Occupancy was more than 85 percent for the Volvo China Open at the Jinji Lake International Golf Club in mid-April.
Rautenberg frequently mentions what may be the hotel's greatest luxury - space.
"We have luxury space in our ballroom, swimming pool, fitness center and guest-rooms - maybe the biggest in Suzhou hotels of this level, and among the biggest in China," he says. "What people have here are feelings of privacy and the luxury of space."
The fitness center offers comprehensive facilities, including saunas and spa and indoor heated swimming pool.
"It's the perfect place where our guests can work up a healthy sweat and relax their minds before another hectic day begins," says Rautenberg.
As more and more luxury hotels are being built in Suzhou, competition is keen.
"In my point of view, the development of luxury hotels is too far ahead of the events like the recent golf open represent opportunities for the hotel.
"We are flexible and very open to commercial and cultural events of this kind. They are both opportunities and challenges to management and service."
He is confident about meeting the challenges. "Demands are catching up with the hotel and the future is bright."
