SHANGHAI is filled with gyms, fitness centers and spas, many of them are franchises of well-known brands. Here are a few suggestions.
Tera Wellness Club
This international fitness brand has nearly 100 clubs in 16 Chinese cities, including Shanghai, which has 50 clubs. The clubs are in all districts, except Fengxian, Qingpu, Jiading districts and Chongming County.
It's the largest fitness chain in China and emphasizes sustainable operations and construction materials.
Most clubs are equipped with Technogym, Star Trac, Matrix and other top-of-the-line equipment, as well as cardio and free-weights area, spinning room, skylit aerobics room, swimming pool and shower facilities. They offer a relaxing members' lounge.
