SIAL China aims to provide the best face-to-face platform on the Chinese mainland for wine producers, distributors, retailers, consumers and hospitality buyers.
The wine and spirits industry was already the biggest area in 2009, with 175 exhibitors from 17 countries and regions.
For its 10th anniversary, SIAL China will do even better: the trade show will welcome more than 247 exhibitors in the wine and spirits industry from 20 countries and regions.
Following the highly price conscious Chinese market, the Best Buy China Competition will highlight the best wines exhibited at SIAL China, selected by an independent jury, offering the best price/quality value.
The Chinese consumer is looking for enlarged wine education and culture. SIAL China gives them the opportunity to discover three main aspects of the worldwide wine markets.
The Wine Innovation Forum lets exhibitors disseminate wine culture and popularize wine knowledge through special tastings and conferences.
Among the wines to be tasted: Castilla La Mancha from one of the most popular Spanish wine areas; wines from Provence, which will come with the sun from the South Valley in France; Ackerman from the Loire Valley in France.
The Wine Innovation Forum will be opened by a presentation on global growth of the wine market by Yves Benard, president of the International Organization of Vine and Wine.
