Opportunities abound
BEING able to speak different languages can be a really good advantage for all of us. However, every time an adult tells us it's time to study Chinese or another language, we are most likely to groan and grumble, wondering why we're supposed to learn an extra tongue without thinking about our future. Nevertheless, have you ever stopped to think that learning an extra language could actually help you get into a good university? Learning a new tongue at a young age can actually help to give your brain a boost, allow our reading skills to improve and also help to widen our vocabulary knowledge.
As mentioned above, learning a new language can help to boost the brain by making it understand different things easily. This makes us learn new things easier and we are able to grasp new concepts faster, hence taking learning to a whole new level where we are able to learn more things at school and making use of every single second we are given for a good purpose.
While learning a new language, we have to read books in order to make ourselves become fluent. As we read we come across lots of new vocabulary. So, as we scan through pages, we not only become fluent with words, we are also absorbing new words at the same time. Therefore, we are killing two birds with one stone, which is another benefit for our future.
In conclusion, learning a new language gives us a huge advantage in getting into a good university that would help us with our career in the future and that we should be grateful we are learning more than one language at such a young age.
