Quiz team shows love of learning

The varsity Shanghai American School Quiz Team took first place at the Concordia International School Invitational Tournament last year and moved on to the May 2013 High School National Championship Tournament in Atlanta, Georgia.
Coached by Shaun McElroy, the team welcomes bibliophiles, scientists, human calculators and musicians — but most of all, lovers of learning.
The 2013-2014 year brings new opportunities, including a November tournament in Singapore and APAC in the Philippines.
On October 12, the Puxi quiz team claimed the championship at the Concordia qualification tournament once again, beating runners-up Singapore American School by a score of 315-125.
An exciting and fun trip to the 2014 Chicago nationals awaits.
