Shaping dreams and motivations
CLASS of 2013, we've finally graduated! It's time to celebrate without thinking about the next assignment.
For me, graduation is a bittersweet experience. I have always thought my entire school life essentially amounted to this one glorious, highly anticipated moment.
Graduation had always seemed to be an explosive epiphany to our purpose in life; the key to all knowledge, as this stage of our education finally had come to an end.
Ultimately, to me, it was a conclusion: the final destination of our journey as Secondary students.
There is no doubt that I feel relieved and accomplished, but I am also reluctant and hesitant to let this part of my life go. I now realize that graduation means more to me than an ending to my schooling.
After studying in Yew Chung International School for eight years, I will move to Australia to study medicine. I've always wanted to be a doctor.
There is no doubt that YCIS has shaped my dreams and motivations. Yew Chung has provided me and supported me with the resources I needed to make career decision.
For this, I must thank the all of my amazing teachers who supported me in achieving my goals.
I also wish to thank my fellow classmates and friends. They actually made my two years of completing the IB diploma enjoyable!
Now it's our turn to inspire new generations as we have been inspired. Graduation is not an ending, it is a beginning.
