Summer of traveling and leisure

ON the last day of school, I left early as I had to go to the airport with my mom and brother to fly to Taiwan. My summer holiday had begun.
I was happy and excited to return to Taiwan. We ate a lot of Taiwanese food, shopped in the Taiwanese markets and went to see my old school friends.
On the day we returned to Shanghai, a close friend of mine came with us. She came without her parents. I took her to different tourist attractions in Shanghai. She took many photos and we played together too. After 10 days of fun times, we took her to the airport and sent her back. These were the happy memories in July.
In August, my family and I went Xi’an, Shaanxi Province. There, we saw some ancient buildings like the clock tower and drum tower. We also ate traditional Xi’an food, climbed a mountain, went to the Xi’an museum and visited places where the ancient emperors had their summer baths and saw the terracotta warriors. After enjoying all the sights, we returned to Shanghai.
The two-month holiday passed by quickly, I had a really good time. On the last day, we celebrated my brother’s birthday. We had a birthday cake and ate ice cream. With that, we ended this wonderful summer holiday.
