The Ballard of the Blue

Softly sir you do not know,

What thou are toying with

You seek power no?

To make your mortal enemies writhe

You there oh old meek man,

You strive to control the deep?

You fool, no land-born can,

The blues power is blues to keep

Do you forget old one?

It was we who saved thee

And your child under the mocking sun,

Your slander is of the greatest degree

A mortal cannot control the horse-head cresting waves,

Nor the currents snaking ‘lo,

Be careful sir you high-born knave,

Lest we snatch you down below

You may be a man of virtue,

You may be a man of sin,

But persist and I shall hurt you

Thou will ne’er win

For we are the elements,

Interminable, timeless, and eternal

With incantations, potions, and chemicals

You endeavour to control us with your Journals

Yet you summon me at your digression,

To complete your menial task

You make us question,

If you wish an unnatural and untimely death mask

I warn you Prospero be wary,

My powers far exceed thee,

Shark teeth, Cthulu and Kraken, you shall be sorry,

Soon, I shall cast you down

You shall have no time to scream,

Your fate is coming quick,

Your scheme,

Your yarn, gone; snip.
