The future smells wonderful

I have always been interested in perfume. When I found out there was a class where I could make perfume, I was really excited.

When I first went to the class, I learned about some common essential oils that we encounter in our daily lives.

On the first day, I learned the basics and safety of essential oils, which was amazing because I did not know that essential oils have therapeutic effects that can cure some simple sicknesses such as stomachaches and headaches.

On the second day, I got to blend three essential oils. Even though it was my first trial, I really liked the way I blended the essential oils. Using the blended essential oil, I made an Eau De Cologne, which can be spread directly on the skin. Also, I made a face massage oil that contains the perfume I made that day. It was a new experience for me, and a step toward my dream because I always wanted to become a perfumer.

While attending the aromatherapy classes, I gained knowledge about essential oils, biology and chemistry. I never knew odors were so deeply related to human physiology. In aromatherapy classes, I learned there are types of perfumes or odors that suit certain people according to their health and environment. The teacher said I should make a perfume that helps me concentrate because I am a senior and I have to study so much. I think it works. Aromatherapy has truly helped me in approaching my goal and shaping my dreams. Maybe one day, I will become an aromatherapist or be able to conduct research in the aromatherapy field. I really enjoyed challenging myself.
