Wearing school uniform has numerous benefits

DO you think wearing a school uniform is a good idea? Does wearing a school uniform have a special meaning for students? The answer varies from student to student, and it has been a long debate whether to wear school uniforms or not. Personally, I think wearing a uniform has many advantages.
Many students say wearing a uniform is monotonous and they cannot show off their unique style. However, not all families can afford fancy clothes and accessories. Can you imagine how hard it is for a single mother, earning the minimum wage, to try to find decent clothes for her children to wear in school?
There are many styles of clothing. Some are appropriate for school while others are not. In order to look cooler, girls wear short skirts and sleeveless tops. Such garments are totally inappropriate for school and it causes many problems such as distracting other students from studying.
In Shanghai Singapore International School, students are encouraged and required to wear formal uniforms to avoid the above mentioned problems. Students shouldn’t pay too much attention to their style of dress, wearing a uniform helps them to concentrate on studying.
Last but not least, wearing a school uniform helps students develop team spirit. When students wear the same clothes, it reminds them they are from the same school and need to cooperate with their classmates most of the time.
