Young 'lions' play child laborers
IN less than two months, the children have been extremely busy.
In Theme, we focussed on communities and in Drama the pupils played child laborers during the Industrial Revolution. They also came up with their own inventions to help our communities that live in the ocean ? without technology!
In Science, they studied micro-organisms by interviewing the school nurse, growing mold on bread and fruit and creating their own micro-organisms in art!
Students participated in speaking and listening work, learning how to write instructions and recipes, and even creating a Lion "Fun Day."
In Numeracy, the class excelled ? particularly with fractions. We recently looked in depth at bar and line charts, even creating class and "human" charts.
David McNidder is G4 Lion Homeroom teacher at SUIS Pudong.
