Shanghai Disneyland Sees Misbehaviors Even Before Opening
Many tourists visited the new Disneytown complex of Shanghai Disney Resort during the May Day holiday. However, some found quite a few undesirable things during the three-day holiday and posted them online.
The long awaited resort’s open area has started trial operations. Enjoying the trial, many chose to have spring outings in the Wishing Star Park and a garden near the Disneyland.
The Wishing Star Lake covers about 40 hectares — about the size of 56 football fields.
Someone carved “I have been here” on a pillar in the Disneytown.
A child was seen indiscriminately defecating on land with her mother aside.
Litters could be seen in a public toilet.
Other misbehaviors included grassland trampling and flower picking.
The garden thus began limiting the number of visitors at a time from May 2. Up to 20 visitors were allowed in at one go and could take pictures for about three minutes. An isolation rope came near the flower beds at the front gate in order to prevent tourists from walking in.
By June 16 - the opening of Shanghai Disneyland , Disneytown will be home to 50 businesses, including the first World of Disney store in Asia.
What will happen then?
