A Special Menu for Mid-Autumn Festival
A canteen at Xiaoshan No. 2 Vocational School in Hangzhou, Zhejiang Province, has launched a special menu dedicated to the Mid-Autumn Festival — stirfried mooncake with tomatoes.
The dish, which costs 2 yuan (30 US cents), soon became a hit online.
Many netizens are curious about the flavor.
According to a woman who has tried the dish, it tasted sour and sweet.
Though she wasn’t sure about the fillings of the mooncakes, she said she was overwhelmed by the flavor.
Mooncake is traditional food of Mid-Autumn Festival, known as Zhongqiu Jie in Chinese, or simply Moon Festival. It falls on the 15th day of the eighth month on lunar calendar, which is on September 15 this year.
