Photos of students from Shandong Normal University reading on window-ledges shocked Internet users recently. 

The photos appear to show these young people perched on lofty ledges with books in their hands, seemingly without protection from falling.

Web users commented as follows:

I can understand their situation, especially when the classroom is noisy.
Are they nuts? What will their parents do if they fall?
It seems that students good at learning should not be afraid of heights as well.
Be sure not to jump up when reading in full swing.
