Drivers in Chengdu Challenged by Sharp Turns
Two sharp turns in almost right angle within 100 meters pose challenges to drivers in Chengdu, capital city of southwest China’s Sichuan Province.
Local drivers jokingly compared the two turns along Changshun Up Street between Binsheng Street and Guihua Alley to a racing track.
A driver surnamed Liu said, “I will pay extra attention so as not to cause scratches each time when I pass these two turns. The experience is just like racing a car.”
An investigative report from West China Metropolis found out that a total of 28 cars had run on the solid lines within three minutes.
However, driving on solid lines is against the new traffic rules. So the violators will be fined 100 yuan (US$15) and deducted three points.
