Educational Authorities Denies Report A Student Was Refused Entry To Exam For Being 2 Minutes Late
Wenzhou Educational Bureau denied a report that a student was prevented from sitting college entrance exam after showing up two minutes late.
Wenzhou Evening News ran the story saying a female student, from the city’s nursing school, was refused entry to sit the examination on the morning of June 7 for being a couple of minutes late.
Wenzhou Educational Bureau hit back, on its official Weibo account, stating the student was 17 minutes late on that day and not two minutes. An investigation carried out by the city’s educational and examination authorities later confirmed this was true, despite the fact the student had set off for the exam at 6am that day.
According to the exam rule, students are not allowed into the exam room 15 minutes after the examination start.
