Seven-Month-Old Impaled By Incense Rack
A seven-month-old baby boy fell from bed at home and got his head stuck in a metal incense rack on June 9 in Yunfu City, located in south China’s Guangdong Province.
After being put to bed at around 8pm, the boy turned over and fell from the bed. He was stabbed in the forehead by a metal incense rack set beside the bed by his family in order to protect him from mosquitoes.
The family responded quickly to the baby’s cries and he was rushed to the hospital. The wound was approximately 3 centimeters deep.
With the assistance of a hydraulic cutter used by firemen, the sharp metal tip was taken out from his head by doctors after a lengthy surgery at a hospital in Guangzhou.
The boy is now in stable condition.
