55 Year Old Saves Woman Falling From 6th Floor
A 29-year-old woman survived falling down from the 6th floor of a building in Genyuan neighborhood in Hangzhou, capital of east China’s Zhejiang Province, thanks to a 55-year-old man.
A news report citing the woman’s relative said the woman from Henan Province attempted to commit suicide by jumping off the building around 10am on Wednesday due to conflicts with her boyfriend.
Her family member once found her taking sleeping pills in an attempt to kill herself.
The rescuer Jiang Chengren from Anhui Province has lived in Hangzhou for quite a few years and handles waste recycling in the neighborhood.
A witness said he reached his hands out as soon as he saw the woman falling off.
They were rushed to the hospital at once. The woman only suffered patella fracture but Jiang's injuries are relatively more severe as he bore the brunt of the fall.
Jiang suffered temporary concussion, head trauma, broken teeth, left shoulder and leg fracture, luckily none of them life-threatening.
Both of them are receiving further treatment at hospital.
