Man, 70, Holds Boy Stuck In Window Barriers
A 70-year-old man became an Internet star after photos of him holding a little boy trapped in window barriers went viral online.
The boy had his head stuck in the bars outside a window and was hanging above the sixth floor of a residential building in Yinchuan in the Ningxia Hui Autonomous Region, CCTV reported.
An elderly man who also lives in the community saw the boy hanging and immediately lent a helping hand.
He climbed out of a window on the fifth floor, held the trapped boy while standing on the railing. There was no safety measures where the man was standing.
Fortunately, the boy was rescued successfully without any injures and the old man was all right as well.
When the hero was interviewed by the media, he said, "A near neighbor is better than a distant cousin. I just did my best to help."
