A kebab eatery on Sanlin Road in Shanghai’s Pudong New Area is the latest hot topic among social media users recently, thanks to its reasonably priced appetizing lamb kebabs served by a handsome master chef.

A set of photos of the good-looking 37-year-old in fashionable suits — master Karim from Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region has gone viral online. Karim in these photos posed like a football star, a web user commented.

In Shanghai for seven years, Karim earlier ran a kebab stand near Shangnan Road, Oriental Morning Post reported.

After reading recommendations of Karim's on WeChat, a  woman surnamed Ye came from Xuhui District to taste his kebab. As is usually the case, it took her about two hours to have one, the report said.

Karim now employs five regular workers and another five temporary workers. The business hour extends from afternoon to 2am in early morning.

Karim normally has lunch before the kebab rush begins every day and cannot have his second meal until the eatery is closed.

As business went on quite well these days, the kebabs originally planned to last until after midnight gets sold by 10pm.

Karim's kebab eatery has been open for nearly two weeks, though it is still to acquire food licenses and permits. His application for the permits is being looked into by the Pudong Food and Drug Administration.
