Thousands of People Held Fun Party to Fight Against Smartphone Addiction
Nearly 5,000 residents in Hefei, capital city of Anhui Province, gathered in a public square on Saturday, playing games and holding music party, in an aim to fight against the abuse of mobile phone and encourage face-to-face communication.
With a slogan of “Put down your smartphone and touch the world,” the so-called Moments Festival was first of its kind in East China.
Participants were required to turn off their mobile phones for two hours. Everyone was given a case to lock their mobile phones before entering the venue.
The festival lasted late into the night.
