Gravel Truck Squashes Car In Horrifying Crash

On March 27, a street in east China's Fujian Province resembled a frightening scene from an action movie. 

The accident: A gravel truck hit a white car at an intersection, burying alive a young couple in the car.

As shown above, a gravel truck enters the intersection, hitting the car as it tries to turn.

The truck turned over and pinned the car down.

Over 50 tons of gravel dumped over suddenly.

According to a local newspapers, people in a BMW behind the white car rushed to remove the gravel. Passers-by also tried to save them before the rescue workers came.

Rescue efforts continued till around 5pm when the white car finally emerged from the gravel. However, the couple inside the car were pronounced dead at scene.

According to the report, the couple, both 24-year-old from Chaozhou City, were engaged and planned to get married this year.

The accident is under investigation.
