CHINA said yesterday that it supports the UN Security Council resolution calling for a cease-fire in Gaza.
"The resolution reflects the concerns and desires of the international community on the situation in Gaza," Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang said. China urged implementation of the resolution by all parties, Qin noted.
China also asked Israel to withdraw its military forces from Gaza, ensure the smooth operation of humanitarian aid and ease the humanitarian crisis, the spokesman said.
