Dutch Tourists Kidnapped In Yemen

AN Armed Yemeni tribesmen kidnapped a Dutch couple yesterday in the capital of the Arabian Peninsula country, the San'a mayor's office said.
The two were taken to a mountainous region about 70 kilometers east of San'a, Mayor Noman Dowaid's office said in a statement. It did not provide more information. The Dutch Embassy in Yemen confirmed the kidnapping.
Yemeni tribes have previously seized foreigners to pressure the Yemeni government to meet their demands, mainly to free clan members from jail.
