Snow struggle
HEAVY snowfall across Germany has disrupted road traffic and caused delays at Germany's international airports.
Duesseldorf International Airport said no flights were allowed to land or take off between 6am and 9am yesterday because clearing crews were unable to keep up with the snow. An airport spokesman said more than 30 flights were canceled. Flights from Frankfurt International Airport were delayed by up to an hour. Traffic stopped for hours on many autobahns as snowplows struggled to clear the roads. Germany's national weather service is forecasting subzero temperatures over the next few days.
