Shanghai film industry growing

IT has been almost three years since Shanghai released its official set of policies to promote its film industry, and during this year’s Shanghai International Film Festival, local filmmakers and Shanghai Press and Publication Bureau come together to share the achievements.
There are seven main goals including financial support for filmmakers, building a team of talented individuals, and setting up the Shanghai Filming and Production Service Department. Through the effort of associated authorities, Shanghai has outrun Beijing to lead China’s box office sales.
Participants to the forum shared their own experiences of benefiting from the policies. All the three guests agreed that not only did they receive financial support from certain department, local authorities have also made the entire process easier and more efficient than ever.
