The hidden charm of South Pacific island nations
THE “South Pacific Island Nations Cultural Event,” held until August 17 at the Yuyuan Art Space, displays the unique cultures of these exotic countries, including Fiji and Samoa.
Visitors to this special exhibition will experience Polynesian island nations from a number of aspects, such as traditional artworks, unique performances, cultural presentations and interesting DIY activities from different nations.
The event offers participants booths to display their wares, a variety of cultural items exhibited at the World Expo 2010 Shanghai, and artworks of Polynesian artists, all using raw, pure and natural materials.
Throughout the event, visitors can enjoy stage performances and cultural exchanges between young Polynesians from the South Pacific islands and local residents, allowing them to experience common cultural origins between the two peoples.
Moreover, visitors may have an opportunity to receive exquisite gifts, featuring the uniqueness of the island nations.
