Age of Innocence
Seven stars have fallen deep into the darkened ground.
Living things remained silent and never made a sound.
Memorable moments flash back and forth like a song,
Oh, in the darkness — warmth fainted and terror began to haunt.
How could I forget,
The moment when we first met,
The winter came, we sit together by the stove,
I still felt cold, so you made me a pair of beautiful gloves.
The seed started to breed,
Spring washed away ice in the stream.
Two birds sat by each other, on a tall tree,
You say it quietly, they’re like you and me.
Now tell me, god, what is destiny,
Why let her leave, take her away from me.
Now ships were on the dock and in hours would you be gone,
So many things awaited us yet nothing has been done.
I miss so much the time when you were still around,
In those days and nights when I expected surprises to come.
I was happy and satisfied in times with you but also to be wound,
In those days and nights when I felt I’ve been hunted down.
Between us was the ever-stretching sea,
Dividing us was the ever-deepening creek.
The bell rang 13 times and this is time to leave
There seems never going to be a chance for us to meet.
So sorrow ful we’ve all grown without any light,
So mellow the time has floated in the mighty night,
Disappearing in the crowds until I lose my sight of you
Somewhere across the ocean where you forever go.
Whatever I say won’t change our story,
A happy beginning and a tragic ending,
You can’t be my princess and I can’t your prince,
I would never see that day that I imagine.
That I can see you coming,
Towards me, and we can put on our rings.
But they are just fairy tales and day dream.
But they are just scenes in my mind that keep flashing,
The passions and impulses are now fading away,
This age of innocence will never again be traced.
Now I am old and my memories become vague,
Soon will I be dead and down the cold tomb I’ll lay.
Dusty cobweb of time blurred my sight,
Yet memories of you still shine as bright.
I was close enough to show up to you and again
we’ll warmly embrace,
But that’s all enough, I am too old to love,
It’s already too late.
