Exhibition celebrating Audrey Hepburn in town

AUDREY Hepburn is known as a style icon as well as a Hollywood star. For the next three months, an ongoing exhibition pays tribute to Hepburn’s life and career at the Shanghai Exhibition Center.
The show — “Always and Forever: Audrey Hepburn” — breaks down the barriers of time and space and features a glossy spread of Hepburn’s photos and film-related costumes. Besides pictures taken during her early days as a model in London, there are also rare images showing her practice ballet at home.
Many of the photos are on show for the first time in Shanghai.
Hepburn (1929-93), born in Brussels, Belgium, is a British actress, model, dancer and was a resistance hero during World War II.
As an outstanding film and fashion icon, she was active during Hollywood’s golden age and was ranked by the American Film Institute as the third greatest female screen legend in Golden Age Hollywood. She was inducted into the International Best Dressed List Hall of Fame.
