City pretty pink for Women鈥檚 Day

The city of Changsha in central China鈥檚 Hunan Province marked International Women鈥檚 Day yesterday with a special offering 鈥 a pink zebra crossing.
The crosswalk, at Jiefang West Road in downtown, has been painted pink and white and dotted with red hearts, with the words 鈥淚 LOVE CS鈥 written at the intersection.
Many passersby took pictures and posted short videos on social media platforms such as Douyin and Weibo, with captions saying they 鈥渇elt the love from the city.鈥
鈥淐hangsha traffic police show our care for female citizens with eye-catching pink zebra crossings and wish all women a happy Women鈥檚 Day,鈥 Changsha traffic police said in a post on their official Weibo account.
The crosswalk is part of Changsha鈥檚 鈥減ink campaign鈥 to bring female citizens a sense of romance.
Three metro lines in the city have introduced special pink carriages, with one of them offering pink seats. One of the city鈥檚 bus lines has also launched a pink bus, and many taxi dome lights have also turned pink.
A light show was due to be staged on the facade of skyscrapers along the city鈥檚 iconic Xiangjiang River.
Pink lighting stretching more than 20 kilometers has also been installed on both banks of the river.
