Ostentatious wealth at wedding surprises onlookers

A bride wore nearly 80 gold bracelets during her wedding Friday in the city of Zhongshan in southern China’s Guangdong Province, astonishing the online community with her wealth, the Southern Metropolis Daily reported.
Online photos showed the bride wore a total of eight heavy gold bracelets around her waist and three “huge necklaces” - threaded by nearly 70 gold bracelets. The total weight was alleged to be scores of grams. The groom also wore seven or eight gold necklaces.
A variety of exotic cars were seen parked outside the hotel, including Ferraris, Lamborghinis and Maseratis, photos showed.
The bride’s husband is an expat doing business in Zhongshan and her father surnamed Li is a retired manager of Shaxi Town tap water company, the newspaper reported.
